Opening and viewing a PDF document is simple and a very easy task
Viewing with a modern Web browser
Whether you are on Windows or Mac, most modern web browsers such as Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome or Apple Safari are able to open PDF files directly in the browser window instead of downloading them to your computer.
Modern web browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) have a built-in PDF reader that automatically displays the PDF content in the browser window.
You don't need to download or install any other PDF reader application.
- If you need to read the contents of the PDF file only once, then it is easier to open it in your web browser.
- If you need to access the PDF later, you'll want to save a copy of the PDF to your computer.
Tips: Just Drag & Drop the PDF to your favorite Internet browser window.
Viewing with a PDF application
The default PDF viewer on Mac computers is Preview
You already installed a PDF application such as PDF-XChange, PDF Expert or Acrobat, and your PDF file is stored on your local disk.
- You can simply double-click to open it with the default PDF application.
