Introduction

The following softwares are available for managing Tasks, Plans, and Projects:

  • JIRA

    • The main tool for task management supported by IT Department is JIRA.
    • For more information, please refer to JIRA Service document.
  • Microsoft To Do (for the web and new Outlook)

    • A light task management tool.
    • Fully integrated with Microsoft 365.
    • Collaborating and sharing simple tasks.
  • Microsoft Planner for the web

    • A task management and team collaboration tool that's part of the Microsoft 365 suite.
    • Ideal for teams needing an easy way to organize tasks, assign responsibilities, track progress, and collaborate within teams.
    • Available through web browser and mobile apps, allowing users to access plans from anywhere.
    • Included in Microsoft 365 subscriptions (A5 or A1) with basic features like creating plans, assigning tasks, adding attachments, setting due dates, and managing dependencies.
    • Premium features: Requires a separate MS Projet Plan 3 subscription, available on request.
  • Microsoft Planner and Project Plan 3

    • A project management tool with advanced features designed for larger, more complex projects and teams that need more control and detail in their project management processes.
    • It offers more comprehensive features for managing projects, including resource allocation, budgeting, cost control, and risk management.
    • It includes access to the Project Online platform for online project management and collaboration.
    • It provides access to the desktop version of Project, offering more advanced planning and scheduling capabilities (baselines, critical path analysis, roadmaps, and resource request capabilities).
    • Requires a separate Project Plan 3 subscription, available on request.
